Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Vaastulokam mobile application and the website at vaastulokam.com (together, the “Service”), operated by Vaastulokam (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account, installing the app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account or purchase consultations. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate.

2. What the Service is — and what it is not

Vaastulokam provides Vaastu Shastra guidance, including expert-reviewed analysis of floor plans and live compass walk-throughs. Our guidance is informational and traditional in nature.

The Service is not a substitute for advice from a licensed architect, civil engineer, structural consultant, lawyer, medical practitioner, financial advisor, or astrologer. Do not rely on our reports to make irreversible structural, financial, or health decisions without consulting a qualified professional. Outcomes such as wealth, marriage, health, or career success are influenced by many factors and are not guaranteed by us.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for safeguarding your sign-in credentials and for any activity under your account.
• Notify us immediately at support@vaastulokam.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
• You may close your account at any time from the app, or via vaastulokam.com/delete-account.html.

4. Coins, purchases and consultations

• The app is free to install. Consultations are paid using in-app “coins”, purchased through Google Play Billing.
• Coin prices, bundle sizes, and welcome bonuses are shown in the app and may change from time to time.
• Coins are a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Service. They have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be transferred to another user or account.
• Each consultation is queued and assigned to a Vaastu consultant. Once a consultant claims your request, the cost is locked in and the coins are deducted.
• If a consultation cannot be completed within the SLA shown in the app, the coins will be automatically refunded to your in-app wallet.
• All purchases are processed by Google Play. Their refund policies apply for billing disputes. We will support you in obtaining a Play refund where appropriate.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to share, or content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or violates intellectual property rights.
• Use the Service to deceive, defraud, or harm any person.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise discover the source code of the app, except where permitted by law.
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access the Service, or attempt to evade rate limits, App Check, or other anti-abuse measures.
• Resell, sub-licence, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
• Interfere with the security or integrity of the Service or with other users’ enjoyment of it.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the floor plans, photos, voice inputs, and messages you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, display, and process Your Content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service and to deliver the consultations you request. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except where we are required to retain it by law.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to share any plan or image you upload. Do not upload plans, identifying information, or photos of third parties without their consent.

7. Intellectual property

The Service — including the app, website, brand, logos, design, copy, and the report templates we generate — is owned by Vaastulokam or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Third-party services

The Service uses third-party processors (Google Firebase, Google Play Billing, Meta SDK, and others listed in our Privacy Policy). Your use of those services is also governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability or content of third-party services.

9. Service changes & availability

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice for material changes. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or if we are required to do so by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections intended to survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Vaastu guidance is traditional and interpretive; we do not warrant that following any report will produce a specific outcome.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vaastulokam and its founders, employees, contractors, and consultants will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 6 months preceding the claim or (b) ₹2,000 (Indian Rupees two thousand).

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Vaastulokam harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service, subject to any non-waivable consumer protection rights you may have in your country of residence.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted at vaastulokam.com/terms.html with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
